  • Login with either your CMSD Google account or your CMSD username and password. if you see a message that says that the book is out and could not be opened, try to access it again later.


  • If you don't find enough information using level two in Britannica, try level three.

  • Use Ctrl+F to find the keyword you are looking for on the page
  • Click the cite button (a checkmark in a box) in the top, right hand corner of the page of any article that you use. Highlight and copy the MLA citation and paste it into NoodleTools.

  • To cite a FactCite article, click the NoodleTools link at the bottom of the page, and then the Citation Ready link.
  • Then, log onto NoodleTools if you haven't already, and import the citation.

  • Click the above Power Kids logo.
  • Click the GO button for SIRS Discoverer in the e-Resources section at the top of the page.
  • Type what you are looking for in the search box and click the magnifying glass button.
  • Start by clicking Reference under the Source Types listed on the left side of the page. However, if you see a 0 in a circle after the word Reference, that means there are no reference articles related to your topic. Try one of the other source types.
  • Try clicking Websites under the Source Types to view related web sites.
  • Read the short descriptions under the article titles to determine which are relevant for your assignment.
  • Use Ctrl+F to find the keyword you are looking for on the page.
  • Many of the articles provide you with a citation. If a citation is available, click the Cite link on the left side of the page. Highlight and copy the MLA citation found at the bottom of the page. You will then need to paste the citation you copied into NoodleTools.



Search Destiny for possible websites:

You will need to log onto Destiny in order to search for websites. Your username and password are the same as those you use to log onto the school computers. Once you are logged on, search as you normally would and then click the websites tab to see the search results.
